Our take

Choose it for short sessions with modest energy needs. For a longer trip, start with a 512 Wh station instead.

The 600 W output rating is useful for a small battery, but it cannot make that battery last longer. At a steady 100 W, our planner’s default assumptions give roughly two hours.

The RIVER 2 Max stores about 78% more energy, at 6 kg rather than 4.3 kg. Take the BLUETTI for the lighter lift; take the larger battery when your equipment list calls for it.
