Two very different ideas of portable
EcoFlow’s IFA 2026 page introduces the RIVER Series Gen 4 and PowerRock 4000. It describes RIVER 4 as a 3.3 kg unit with a 4.2-litre footprint. PowerRock targets construction, events and film production, with a claimed 4 kW continuous output and a 7.2 kW peak lasting up to 100 seconds. These are manufacturer claims, not our measurements.
Why the split matters
“Portable” covers equipment you carry frequently and equipment you move into position for a job. A small bag-friendly station and a professional power source should not compete in a single bigger-is-better ranking. Start with how the unit gets from vehicle to working position, then check the loads it must support.
What to check next
The announcement is a useful research lead, not a completed UK buying record. Exact local configurations, battery capacity, accessories, seller terms and delivered price still need checking before either joins our comparison catalogue. For now, use our mobile-work guide to list the equipment, daily energy and charging opportunities your job requires.
